No Liverpool on the TV, so I decided to talk to the wife.

To communicate better with her and understand her and her likes a little better.

Apparently her favorite movie ever is something called “Titanic” and it won a shed load of Oscars last year, I think, but I really wasn’t listening too closely. I’m going to buy it for her when it comes out on DVD.

See, guys? It’s the little things! You’re welcome.

As I go through the various stages of sports withdrawal and look to fill in the time I've been digging up quasi-old English mini-series to watch. So far I've enjoyed "Paranoid" and a bit less so "The Level".

    Anything to recommend?

I'll be booked up next week as the Metropolitan Opera will be streaming (free) an opera every night while they are shut down. The emphasis seems to be on "beginner" operas which is right in my wheelhouse.

You can only re-watch the Barcelona game so many times ;-)

Catch Line Of Duty if you already haven’t.

*Really* enjoyed Line of Duty. Saw it a few years ago. So the Venn diagram of our tastes overlaps. Anything else?

If you saw it a few years ago, there’re a few new seasons since.

Happy Valley. 2, maybe 3 seasons.

Ta for the Met nudge. VPN is my friend even if 12.30 in the afternoon might not be.

I hope everyone is doing fine.
In the past, when I was bored , felt low,
I usually just rewatched the 2005 Champion League final, all 120+ minutes of it.

Now there is one more option: the semifinal from 2019 (second leg).

We've been binging Shetland and Vera, even reached back for old Touch of Frost episodes.

As expected, Euro 2020 moved to next summer. If ever there was a format guaranteed to spread infection and disease, this was it. I won't be hugely surprised to see some sort of rejigging of the multiple venues from Dublin to Moscow to Baku in the space of a month.

    Problem easily solved:

All mascots will be grandchildren of UEFA board members. ;-)
