Default Liverpool v Bournemouth: Pull the finger out boys

Well, well, well... Things haven't been particularly rosy of late, but from what I can tell, not many internet Liverpool fans seem to take 'You Never Walk Alone' to heart, do they?

If you could pick a game to clear out the cobwebs and get back on track, you'd probably pick Bournemouth at home. We haven't really tonked anyone this year, so perhaps we ought to try that for a change.

    Dave's team:

    Alisson

    TAA Gomez VvD Robertson

    Ox Fabinho Gini

    Salah Firmino Mane

I think the recent wobble has copperfastened for me why I don’t engage in these type of conversations on FaceBook.

I would disagree that we haven’t tonked anyone this season, Leicester away we did; but I take your overall point that we haven’t done it enough. Funnily enough, I thought this run of Norwich, West Ham, Watford and Bournemouth was a dead cert for 12 points. Both Norwich and West Ham we fell over the line, Watford was what it was, so I’m far from as certain as I once was that this is a banker.

It should be, yes, and had we been playing them in our prime, yes, it’s just difficult to pinpoint when we’re going to blow away the cobwebs. I do think we need a good performance to set us up for Atletico because absent a comprehensive win, I think we’ll go into midweek with a hangover. And comprehensive doesn’t mean 6-0, we’ve all seen games where 2-0, in control from the beginning, never in doubt, have happened.

As it happens this game is tailor made for Keita, but given his injury and form track record, we’ll see Gini, AOC and Fabinho. We need everyone on peak form.

Any day now, you'll pass your English-as-a-second-language-test. I have faith in you.

It's nice to have an alternative to the phrase "glued to a policeman".
‘How many mistakes are you allowed?’ Klopp asked the fourth official. ‘Because if it’s 15, you’ve got one left.’

Do you have a good word for this situation? I can only think of ones that would fail the bad language edits...

    From Klopp:
“I would say after the international break 100%. Whatever we can get before that we will see.”

From an article in The Athletic [Paywall] about which cities NHL players put on their no-trade list and why:

"Montreal, because it’s just so hard to play there. You win two in a row, they’re planning a parade. They lose two in a row and the whole city is on suicide watch.”

Let me know if any of this is familiar ;-)
