Default The usual late season Spurs collapse? Yes, please.

Spurs are the nearly club, nearly challenging, nearly winning, nearly having a new stadium. I suspect without serious investment in the team and not the stadium, they’ll continue to be the nearly men. Top 4 probably with the usual collapse in March and April.

Liverpool coming into its own with a plethora of players returning from injury. AOC, Gomez, Brewster, Lovern and players like Lallana hitting good form. Klopp is very good at not allowing the team get ahead of itself, so there will be no complacency for any of the remaining games. Spurs are a very good side, but too thin squad-wise to compete on all fronts. I suspect though Pochettino would never say it out loud, that Spurs’ priorities are, in order, top 4, CL and League. It’ll probably be in their mind that they can afford to lose here and still make top 4.

Our team will be the usual, back 4 and front 3 the usual; the guesswork will be the midfield 3. Fabinho, Wijnaldum and one of Keita, Milner, Henderson and Lallana. Henderson I think. I wonder if AOC sees the bench? If we’re winning handily - if - and he does make the bench, I wonder if Klopp would introduce him late on for a cameo? He was included in the revised CL squad submitted after Christmas.

Default Liverpool v Spurs: The run-in kicks off with a visit from the Spuds

With no more distractions, Liverpool's run-in to a potential double is now set. Everyone knows the lay of the land: in the CL, we have a draw that most people expect us to win and a potential match-up with either United or Barca in the way of a consecutive final; in the league, we lead, but City have a game in hand.

Spurs at ours is usually an OK game and one, I think we usually do well on. Spurs are dangerous, sure, but at Anfield, I expect us to get the three points.

A fair few people in the mix to coming back, but doubt any are match-fit. Think Hendo & Trent are doubtful, right?

    3-1, Bobby first goal.

    Dave's Team:

    Alisson

    Milner Matip VvD Robertson

    Gini Fabinho Lallana

    Salah Firmino Mane

I'm keeping my thread as the opener, not because it's more interesting, not because it's better written, not because it's a catchier title, but because, forum rules, I posted first!

Kinda half hoping that Parker and Fulham might have learnt something from the tangle with us. Turned on the radio, hopefully. 30-35 minutes gone. 2-0 City. Oh well…

Left hoping Fulham score 2 without reply. It’s the hope that kills you.

Fu*ck me. I better make sure I’m off all lipids, cholesterol, good and bad, butter and fats because this fu*cking team is going to give me a heart attack all by themselves.

Easy win, never a doubt. Another boring match. Roll on.
