Default Newcastle v Liverpool: Visiting Rafa's new home

Liverpool travel to Newcastle on Sunday tea-time for a visit to Rafa's new digs. Newcastle 4-3, best Premiership game ever, yadda, yadda, yadda. That said, at least on our end, the parable to the first LFC team I started following is pretty decent. Very good and attractive attack, but an average defense and bad game management are hallmarks of both.

Expect to see a few changes, but not too many. Rafa will have done his homework, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to play us.

    Dave's team:

    Mignolet

    Gomez Matip Lovren Robertson

    Gini Hendo

    Mane Coutinho Woodburn

    Sturridge

I’m not a rocket scientist, I don’t even play one in a bar and I think I might have it figured out!

Part of the trick is keeping us off the score sheet for the first 30. Then the frustration sets in. For the punters amongst us, a scoring draw would be the bet, I would think.

I keep thinking this is the game we take someone to town, I recall a game away at Newcastle once over the festive period where we won about 6-1, think this may be the same.

    Or maybe 6-4......

Wasn’t that the game where Stevie G got banged up afterwards?

I'd like to see Marko Grujic play because on some level I think of him as Jonjo Shelvey with hair. Certainly both are honors graduates of the Paul Scholes School of Skillful Tackling.
‘How many mistakes are you allowed?’ Klopp asked the fourth official. ‘Because if it’s 15, you’ve got one left.’

Just listening to BBC R5, Huddersfield/Spurs. 0-3 Spurs, HT.

Why, oh why, can’t we ever have a game wrapped up at halftime?

15 minutes left. 1-1. Absolutely crap game. Needless to say we offered up their goal on a plate. Has all the smell and feel of a late goal. Probably for them. It’s not really a comfort that Everton are playing worse.

1 win in 7. No form to be winning anything. Or coming in any sort of top 4.

“Frustrated” and “unlucky”. Those two words are really getting a run out these days.
