    Default Hillsborough. Justice looming ahead?

26 years ago today. That's a long wait.

As good a place as any, if slightly late.

Liverpool FC have banned The S*n newspaper from all its facilities - Anfield and Melwood - refusing to accredit any its journalists. Thoughts?

Better late than never, although certain HJC members seem to believe any move by the club now is bogus or too late, which is becoming a little tiresome.

Clock is ticking for that rag.

I'm not privy to the thinking of either the HFSG or the HJC (except to know each group despises the other), but I would have thought both would be happy with the ban.

The fact remains that regardless of bans and campaigns, The S*n is still the most popular daily newspaper in the U.K. That's not to say that all campaigns are hopeless, but the mountain to climb is steep. I suspect that it'll take some sort of scandal (phone hacking and NOTW) rather than a sustained campaign to see it gone. However, it has lost about half its circulation since 2010, and while some of that would go to the campaigns, all newspapers are down in circulation since 2010. And that's more to do with the slow death that newspapers are undergoing than anything else.

I think the most likely outcome (barring scandal or newspaper death) is that The S*n will continue as it has done, ceding Merseyside to the other papers and taking whatever crumbs it can get from unknowing/uncaring punters.

Interesting days. McKenzie up to his usual sh*t which is to be expected. But on the back of his comments, the Merseyside campaign against The S*n and Joe Anderson, the Lord Mayor of Liverpool calling Everton out for lack of action, Everton have now banned all S*n journalists from its training facilities and grounds.

And that's not a bad way to partly remember the 96 for the day that's in it.

The S*n doesn't employ journalists, but a good move in any event.

How that guy hasn't been planted I'll never know. A quite vicious human being and it's beyond the pale that the BBC and other outlets still employ him.
