    Default Suarez/Evra racism case.

Whatever happened with the Evra claims? Seems to have went really quiet and thats considering there were numerous cameras clearly showing Suarez saying something 10 times.

You know what they say - if it smells like bull**** chances are.......

Bet ya the FA and under more pressure now to throw the book at Terry considering the chelsea fans were chanting 'Anton Ferdinand you know what you are' last night. What wankers.

I guess I'm surprised about two things:
    - That it's a criminal offense to call someone a 'black ****' in England. By no means suggesting it's OK, but free speech and all that...
    - That Suarez isn't under investigation by the authorities, given Evra's claims.

Think the Evra claims are allegedly still under investigation - i.e. they want everyone to forget about it and it will go away.

The Terry issue isn't going away - the Met Police are now involved.

A member of the public made a complaint over the Terry incident that's why the Met are involved.

My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea and he conquered the bloody world! And that's what I wanted. For Liverpool to be untouchable. My idea was to build Liverpool up and up and up until eventually everyone would have to submit and give in.

I'm hearing there's an explanation which somewhat vindicates both sides and it'll probably go no further, certainly not in public.

More in a while, when I have fuller details.

^^^ I've heard this rumor (i.e., what Suarez supposedly said) - has it been "established" by anything? Reports of it press-wise as opposed to just on the Internet?

And if that is in fact what he said, he deserves a fine and possible suspension. Is it as bad is n*gger - of course not. But he shouldn't be bringing race into the situation period, the FA's stance is pretty clear on it and it's appalling if fans, the league or the club stand behind it as some "cultural misunderstanding". Complete b*ll*cks. I'm obviously aware that racial/sexual/cultural slurs get said all the time - it's sports ffs and I'm no prude by any stretch. But as there clear guidelines in place against such statements/behavior if substantiated, it's got to be dealt with.

Nevermind the (yep I'll say it, kinda back***ward) implication - if this is waived away - that Suarez is basically a "little Latino" who, that while "that sort of talk might be ok where he comes from", doesn't quite realize how easily sensibilities might be offended by such comments or behavior in good ol' oh-so-morally upstanding Blighty. But hey, we'll give him a pass this time just to show how fairminded *we* are.

Which is why I would love to see anything a little more substantive re the rumoured clarification if possible. Hopefully we'll find out soon enough. This needs to be put to bed yesterday.

If that is what he said - wouldn't you have thought it would have come out in training/socializing over the last ten months as well? I'm skeptical.

I still am as well, tbh, and really hope it's just internet chatter. I wouldn't base anything on the fact that his teammates haven't heard it before - it's not really relevant as we all talk differently around "workmates", even if very friendly with them.

But that I've only heard this story from "LFC-partial" sites concerns me - again, like, "ok, he did say something but it's not really that bad - just easily misunderstood". Which is very different from the unequivocal "he said nothing" of two (three?) weeks ago. I'd really like to see this story in the press if there's any truth to it. (And if there isn't, I'd then be very curious to know how/why this particular take on the incident started.)

Maybe now we can put things behind us, i feel sence has atlast prevailed, we can now move on, (things will rumble on for a wee while) but for the most part we can put things behind us, i am relieved.

Although Luis was clearly wrong in not shaking his hand, and LFC dont come out of this looking good, the LFC beating is a bit much. Its only a couple of years since several utd players didnt shake Vieras hand and nothing happened about it so it will be interesting to see what if anything the FA do there.

If Evra does not get some type of disiplinary action against him by the FA then its an absolute disgrace. This is the same Evra that went unpunished for his badge kissing exploits at Anfield in October.

As for Ferguson he can **** right off. Where does he get off on commenting on Suarez to the degree he did. If I remember correctly this is the same Ferguson who took exception to anyone commenting on Keane after his Halaand tackle. This is the same Ferguson who stood by Schmeichel after his racist comments on the field to Ian Wright.
So Ferguson claiming he should never play for LFC is laughable even though his riot comments may be even more so considering that it was Evras actions is what sparked the tunnel incident which was when the problem escalated.

Although many on here have said Utd and Ferguson have outplayed LFC and Daglish in all of this and thats fine. My own opinion is United are a pack of ****s. Liverpool havent handled well but utd are far from faultless. The media do what I expect and will run with this now as long as they can, of course no one has mentioned that Suarez was roundly booed, even though this was all they printed about 10 days ago.

And for whats its worth I feel Suarez did well not to deck Evra for what he did as they left the pitch. However I am so disaapointing in him not shaking Evras hand, he had made everyone that stood beside him look foolish.
