Default LFCNY Fantasy World Cup 2010

Now that the domestic and European season is over, all eyes turn to South Africa. How will Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano and the rest of the reds fare? Can England beat the USA in the grudge match on June 12? Which England player will miss the decisive penalty in the quarter finals? Will the Irish booing of the French ever cease?

It promises to be a fascinating tournament, and to make it even more interesting, we're pleased to announce the LFCNY Fantasy World Cup 2010. Pick your squad, make changes as the tournament progresses, and pit your footballing wits against other LFCNY members.

As if the glory of winning wasn't enough, you also have an extra incentive. Standard Chartered, Liverpool's sponsor for next season, have been good enough to donate a 2010-2011 home shirt as a competition prize. Winner takes all, so if you want the chance to own the shirt before the season even starts, pick your squad wisely.

Squad selection starts on June 4, after the official squads have been announced and Darren Bent starts to make his summer vacation plans. To join now, please click here: LFCNY fantasy league

The squads have all been announced, so now you can begin to select your players ahead of the big kick off. If you haven’t yet signed up, there is still time…

Selecting my squad now! Do all 20 players play/score? Or do we only start XI? Will be difficult to field 23 meaningful players within the budget but certainly up the challenge! This should be tons of fun

(Couldn't find the rules or I wouldn't have asked, probably right under my nose, forgive me if so)

    EDIT: nm, found it

I'm in also. I guess if you select NZ or Honduras players for £1m a piece to save money and you get injuries your screwed!

    I like the format though.

Funky Foreigners is my eldest - I didn't think anyone would mind.

Of course if he wins I will give him a good ol clip round the ear!

I think my team is screwed in this league like I was in last seasons fantasy team. Oh well, at least I'm consistent.

This is unreal, I have more points on my bench than my starting team, My midfield bench is Dempsey, Marin, Gelson Fernandes, and Bresciano and lastly, Jovanovic as my benched striker. And none of my keepers have played a minute of football as yet.

Top of the table going into the semis. Have loaded up on Dutch & Krauts. Go big or go home.
