Default World Cup warm-up: friendlies Mar. 3, 2010

Just posted the England lineup in that thread but as the US are playing the Dutch and France are up against Spain, folks may want to discuss today's fixtures in general? Fire away if so.

Saw Dirk is starting for Holland with Babel on the bench.

Well, I'm still stuck in 1993 in my mind, so don't expect much from me.....

Great - and unbelieveable (considering del Bosque ) - news re Fernando.

Wow, these Adidas tops look really tight on he players. I'm all for the new tight fitting tops but I think some of the players are wearing the kiddie size for these two team. Jonas Gutierrez' and Demichelis tops look three sizes too small for them. Plus the Argentina keeper Romero looks more like a druggie porn star than a footballer.

De Jong knocks Holden out with a stupid, rash challenge. Only gets a yellow but would be a red for just a stupid tackle. Fu*king dick.

EDIT: Holden looks like he's in trouble. Physios are examining him and he's answering with a grimace and alot of yes's.

^^ Moved your post over, Nomer. Let's keep this thread for today's games - obviously any England-related stuff (not that it sounds like anyone's watching the game!) can be cross-posted in that thread.

Villa with a great finish after some nice passing from Spain to carve open the French defense. Yes, I really am watching all of these matches at the same time.

I think I'm gonna follow the Spain- France game. No, the US- Holland game. well, I'll follow both. Penalty for Holland Dirk taking it and scores.

I'm trying to do the same but my brain isn't developed enough to understand everything that's going on. Silly penalty by Bornstein though.
