Default MP Red - the LFCNY Podcast.

This thread is specifically designed for reaction to the LFCNY podcasts. It certainly will be somewhat of a different thread in that there will be topics discussed on the podcast which will also have their own threads, so I realize the potential for overlap and redundancy. Nevertheless, let's give it a shot.

Pretty good, although i don't really agree w/ Jerome's (?) prediction for the USA to be a flop in the WC. wouldn't you need 'some' level of hype or fan fare to be a considered a flop? even the squad and coach don't think being #5 in the Fifa rankings means anything. we're easily in the top 2 most difficult groups this time around, but we still believe we can make some noise in the WC.

The USA can boast the first every world cup hatrick, the reason England no longer wears blue kits and a trip to the 1/4 finals in the 2002 cup (we should have beat Germany too). Other than that, we're no where near flop status, we're still overacheiving...

Episode #3 now up and it's definitely the best one to date. The iTunes write-up:

This edition further reviews the World Cup to date and also sees the usual look at Liverpool news and rumours, "Believe it, Believe it not or Believe it maybe" Bellamy and Aurelio in, Alves maybe? Trabelsi? Kuyt? What about Simao again? Cisse, Hamann and Dudek out? And Herrara returns to Spain.

In the panel discussion, who has impressed in the World Cup so far? Who has been the biggest flop? What players have caught the eye and what about those refs? Who's going to win it all?

A Kick In The Grass sees Michael Henderson very impressed with Zizou and France while also having a high regard for Germany. Portugal? Not so much. Plans for a Berlin Final trip?

Kate Buddeke joins the crew for a feedback review. Who needs some 'man love'? And will Suzie from Toronto buy anyone a beer?

All this and more in episode #3.
And the links - streaming is the easiest one to listen to - no downloading.

Great edition! good to hear some sound views from "the pundits" given all the drivel we have had to put up with over the last few weeks from ESPN/ABC
