Default Shock news! Crouch slams Benitez/Parry decision making

    Peter Crouch from the Mail.....

"When you're playing up front on your own, sometimes it limits your chances of scoring goals a little bit," Crouch admitted. "But playing up front with someone of Michael's calibre should help my game and hopefully I can help his game as well."

You really are the spin-meister Pig. I reckon most would read this and guess that he's talking up his chances in playing in the forecoming England games? but you can see beyond and link this to his club, you really do have the "3rd eye".

Oh sorry, Els. My apologies. Many thanks for making it clear that what Peter Crouch was implying was that, while a partnership with MO would potentially be successful for England (I think they got 3 goals when they last played together), it would not have been a good partnership for Liverpool, where he believes he is better off playing up front on his own.
    I see that now, sorry.

    Jamie said it too...

Carragher said: "Peter's overall link-up play at Liverpool has been outstanding since he has been at the club. I also feel a little bit sorry for him in that he has had to play up front on his own at times.

"I think he would be better up front with someone else alongside him. He always seems to have his back to goal when he has played up front on his own and, the way we have been playing at Liverpool, is getting runners going in beyond him.

"It hasn't helped him in terms of getting into goalscoring positions but his actual general play has been outstanding. He hasn't really missed chances at Liverpool yet because we haven't really created enough for him to be honest.

"But great skill by Peter created the one chance he had against Chelsea at the weekend. I'm sure if he gets his chance with England that he won't let anyone down. Everyone at Liverpool is very impressed by him. Hopefully he can get his first goal."
"Pass and move isn't old fashioned, it's the Liverpool way. That's the way I was brought up and I don't think I could change."

Not quite as strong a statement from Jamie, as he didnt explicitly say that MO would help Crouch's goal scoring, which was what the Big Lug said...
Lets hope Benitez didnt see Crouch's quote, or the Big Lug will be warming the the bench with Cisse....

Think the Daily Mail (who hate Liverpool with a passion) had more than a little to do with this wind-up.

Their sports writers never miss the chance to have a pop at Liverpool.
