    Re: Norwich v Liverpool: Dinner @ Delia's

    I thought Keita had one of those games that often can be overlooked. He wasn’t flashy, didn’t score or assist, didn’t kick the ball off the line, but he was rock solid. Rarely making a mistake, but...

  4. Re: Man City a-go-go... Biggest club in the world, my arse!

    This ban prompts some questions:
    1. How successful will the appeal be? It seems it was set up for a one season ban and one season suspended.
    2. Will it affect Guardiola's stay? There have already...

    Re: 2020 Winter & Summer Transfer Windows

    All of the above. My biggest problem with the excellent Melissa Reddy is that by the time The Independent website has loaded (like The Liverpool Echo), about a year of your life has evaporated.

    Re: 2020 Winter & Summer Transfer Windows

    Interesting article in The Guardian about VVD. Bascially the thrust is that he cost £75m which was seen almost immediately as a steal. Hiding in plain sight is the phrase.

    But the question posed...

    Re: Norwich v Liverpool: Dinner @ Delia's

    I think everyone but Larouci and Clyne is back. Now I’m guessing Milner, Shaqiri and Mané may not be fully match fit so that would mean Origi or AOC up front. But I would think that Milner and Mané...

    Re: 2020 Winter & Summer Transfer Windows

    Word is, via The Athletic, that Wijnaldum will be signing a new contract soon.

    Re: 2020 Winter & Summer Transfer Windows

    There’s a less than reputable source in Spain (some tabloid rag) which claims Bayern have zero interest in keeping Coutinho and are shipping him back to Barcelona at the end of the season.

    Barca,...

    Re: 2020 Winter & Summer Transfer Windows

    Word is that Lallana is definitely gone in the summer. I think, like Milner, he still has a lot to offer. But, like Ings, he has spent too much time injured.

    There's no way he's part of the...
  11. Re: Shrewsbury. Play the Kids! EDIT: Replay at home.

    The FA have just said that if Liverpool win the FA Cup, the Community Shield will be played at Melwood between the first team and the kids.
  12. Re: Shrewsbury. Play the Kids! EDIT: Replay at home.

    A very different game from the Villa League Cup game. This time, the team were a lot more composed, especially at the back and they looked very comfortable on the ball. I said after the Villa game...

    Re: 2020 Winter & Summer Transfer Windows

    Jeez, way too much common sense here from Melissa Reddy about how Liverpool will approach the next transfer window and transfers in general.
  17. Re: The return on Danny Ings. Southampton home.

    Well, as every pundit, fan and dog in the street knows, 22 points is the most dangerous lead in football. :)
  18. Re: The return on Danny Ings. Southampton home.

    4-0. 22 points clear! An incredible 32 points clear of 4th.
  19. Re: The return on Danny Ings. Southampton home.

    Alisson;

    Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson;

    Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum;

    Oxlade-Chamberlain, Salah, Firmino.
  20. The return on Danny Ings. Southampton home.

    The inevitable, relentless push continues with a surprising 3PM Saturday kick off. I say surprising because 3PM means no live TV coverage in the UK which is 2 games in a row for Liverpool, probably a...
  21. Re: West Ham v Liverpool: I could watch it from my office, if I tried...

    It's real getting very tight at the top of the table, despite last night's win at West Ham.

    Liverpool…………...70 points
    Chelsea+Arsenal….70 points
    3 West Hams………69 points
    Man Utd+Spurs……68 points...
