    Re: 2019-20 League Fixtures.

Overall, not so bad a schedule after all. The run-in may not be quite as challenging as we fear with a Hazard-less Chelsea (likely led by Fat Frank) and a long term project Arsenal.

    Re: Champions League Final 2019

Whew, finally posting as I followed my discipline of never posting before/during a huge match. Also didn't watch live, went to work, pledged family and friends to silence and checked the final score...
  3. Re: Tougher game than Barcelona. Fact! Wolves home.

Did everything we could after our draw slip-ups, came up just a bit short no complaints. Brilliant season so far, 97 points and one league loss is not too shabby. Got to treat this last game like...

Re: Up against it. Barca home.

Glad to keep my record of being completely wrong on these things unblemished. What a night. Shades of Istanbul.

Re: Up against it. Barca home.

Great analysis. Promises to be a great European night at Anfield, expect the supporters to be in full song. But yeah not expecting us to get anything from this. A very good CL run nonetheless.
  6. Re: This time a favor from former LFC personnel? Newcastle away.

Whew, needed to run out for a new box of Depends after that one. Divvie has come up big again, yikes what drama at the end. Wonder if he's the depth "answer" up front or a recruiting priority in...
  7. Re: Mascherano, Suarez, Coutinho to get a licking: AWAY TO BARSA

Me, the dog and the housefly are going the pub to drown our sorrows now. Watch out for the house fly if you see us, he's really pissed off.
  8. Re: Mascherano, Suarez, Coutinho to get a licking: AWAY TO BARSA

This season is turning out to be one of the most monumentally successful, and monumentally frustrating in the club's history.
  9. Re: Mascherano, Suarez, Coutinho to get a licking: AWAY TO BARSA

Well, that got rather Messi didn't it.

Re: Ghostly echoes of times past? Chelsea home

The United result gives scant hope for Wednesday. And to think we drew with both of these showers to put us in this situation makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

Re: Cardiff v Liverpool: A visit to Gringots

Another workmanlike win, great strike from Gini. Millie's Father Time celebration after the PK was very good. Roll on.
  12. Re: CL QF 2nd Leg. Just finish the job. Porto away.

I understood we were soaking up their pressure to start, but that first 25' was making me very nervous. Nice close out to the game in the second half, well managed and gliding to an easy win at a...
  13. Re: CL QF 2nd Leg. Just finish the job. Porto away.

Expecting and hoping for a workmanlike finishing off of the tie. Not looking past this yet. Juve-Ajax was a great match, fun to watch. Can did look like a cart horse out there at times. ...

Re: Ghostly echoes of times past? Chelsea home

True all that. Definitely something cathartic about yesterdays result, we are a different side from the "slip" days. The only downside to this title race is, however it turns out a team who clearly...

Re: CL QF 1st Leg: Porto come to Anfield

Job done despite the MF looking vulnerable and some shaky moments by Alisson. Must take Porto seriously at the Dragao.

Re: Southampton v Liverpool: We go again

Soton's position in the table is a bit shocking to me after that game. They have some good players and really gave us fits - admittedly we were far from our best in the first half. That Salah goal...
  18. Re: The usual late season Spurs collapse? Yes, please.

Actually, I was fighting incontinence through the second half.
  19. Re: The usual late season Spurs collapse? Yes, please.

Easy win, never a doubt. Another boring match. Roll on.
  20. Re: Bayern Muenchen v Liverpool: Mach oder sterben Zeit

Very nice, but Porto won't be as easy as last year. Gotta keep the intensity up.
  21. Re: Bayern Muenchen v Liverpool: Mach oder sterben Zeit

That second half was a thing of beauty, Bayern couldn't touch us. All three goals were great but that first, yikes, that was on a different level completely. Happy days!
  22. Re: Bayern Muenchen v Liverpool: Mach oder sterben Zeit

So much for scoring early (sigh).
  23. Re: Bayern Muenchen v Liverpool: Mach oder sterben Zeit

Keita not in the traveling squad, another minor injury apparently. He's been a pretty big disappointment to date.
  24. Re: Bayern Muenchen v Liverpool: Mach oder sterben Zeit

Good point, Sami. An early goal for us would make for a very interesting encounter indeed. Make it happen lads!
  25. Re: Playing catch up. 3 points please. Burnley home.

And the hero is... Adam Lallana? Three points in the bank. Big one coming up midweek. Walk on.
