Off to London on FA Cup Final Weekend! (Sounds better than it is) Fulham v Liverpool.

There was a time, before the TV men offered their wonga, and the game of Football drooled and rolled over for anything;- that FA Cup Final weekend was a very special occasion. The League programme was over and complete; and the whole Nation watched the climax and final football game of the season on the final weekend;- the FA Cup Final at Wembley. The biggest game of the year and the highlight of the season.

Now we find ourselves in London for a routine League match on the day AFTER the FA Cup Final, which is itself put back to a Saturday tea-time kick off to avoid clashing with the Premiership games disgracefully scheduled for the same day.

This is the sort of sh*t you get when you allow the money-men to dictate what happens. Accountants without the slightest idea of tradition and history, without any sense of what is proper.

You have to wonder how many will be arsed to trapse down to Craven Cottage for a meaningless game. The answer is probably quite an impressive number. Even with nothing at stake for either side in a mid-table encounter, it's still the Scousers up against a bunch of cockneys, and victory would be sweet for either side. At the end of the day, we still have local and regional pride to fall back on as an excuse for a dust-up. (although hopefully just on the pitch)

Difficult to guess what sort of a side Rodgers will put out. He may decide to rest a few prior to a hopefully strong finish in the Final game v QPR at home next week. He might decide to throw a few kids in. We might see people like Yesil getting some game time. There again he might want to make certain of all six of the final points of the season, to put the best possible gloss on our finish;- especially if he is feeling a bit insecure about still being here in August.

Games v Fulham at the Cottage are never predictable. We've had both very good and embarrassing results here in recent seasons. The usual rule of thumb is goals, so that probably will mean it's a boring 0-0 this time.

I'm gonig to predict a 2-0 win for the Reds with Sturridge on the scoresheet again. Though if you want good odds at the Bookies, go for Borini and Downing as the scorers. That, if it came off, would probably pay for your London trip! Including dinner at the Ritz!!! ;)

Any good reason not to start with the same line-up as against Newcastle? Probably not.

I'm not so sure Suarez actually bit him. You could see Ivanovic's arm afterwards and his reaction. It looked like he thought he was bit, saw it and realized he hadn't been injured. It looks kind of like he pulled him in and did that to scare him? Or possibly he got in there and decided better of it? Either way, unless there's a bite mark on his arm can he really be banned? Can he be banned for a feigned bite?

If he did succeed in biting him my gut says this is probably 4-8 games. Not as bad as Joey Barton's last incident given his prior history but probably more than just normal violent conduct (even though one could argue quite convincingly that a horror tackle is far worse). If he didn't succeed but still made the motion does he get the same number of games?

Lots of questions.
